BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES
“Prayer is our highest privilege, our gravest responsibility, and the greatest power that God has put into our hands.” –Kneeling Christian
We believe that prayer is the most fundamental element of life, as a result prayer is at the core of every aspect of The Worthy Movement. We’ve commit to ensure that prayer is woven throughout the fabric of this movement. Prayer is/will be held before all teacher instructional meetings, before the start of class, during leadership planning meeting, and we will encourage our members to practice a purposeful prayer life. We whole heartedly believe that prayer is the power that God has placed in our hands, and this movement will fully embrace, and utilize the power of prayer. Through prayer God’s Spirit will empower us to impact the lives of our members.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 “Pray without ceasing”
We believe that prayer must be exercised on a daily basis, and that our prayer must be intentional, directional, and purposeful, without ceasing.
Luke 11:1-4 “And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. And he said unto them, When ye pray, say Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.”
2 Timothy 3:16
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
We believe that scripture is the inspired Word of God, and that scripture is without error. We believe in the sufficiency of Scripture. God’s word is enough to enable the man of God to grow into spiritual maturity.
Romans 12:1-2
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Matthew 28:18-20
“And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.”
Acts 4:32
“And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
